Foot Bowl Presse Foto Agentur - Welcome on Board
So you made it and you are going to be part of the gang. Before you gain your first publications, we have to prepare some stuff. You need to register at some sites and to process your images properly, our partners like IMAGO need them to be labeled with the IPTC standard. This is a must in any agency but it’s not useless for your work as well. It helps to find images for you and for the customer. Don’t be shocked, it will be easy once you get used to it.
1. Register at our cloud
Register at https://work.just-shots.de
tell Roman when you did it. He has to activate your user and move it to the “Foot Bowl” group for you to have access.
Browse to folder:
Foot Bowl -> 02 Foto Upload -> 02 Fotografen Ordner
Create a folder with your name there.

(Request Membership), tell Roman when you did it. He has to activate your user and move it to the “Foot Bowl” group for you to have access to the internal ressources.
Once you have internal access, you will see a new menu item called “Know How”
You will find there information about the software to use, the templates fore IPTC and about image editing.

Sign our contract
Yes, we are working like a team, like a community. But this is internally. To the “outside world” we are just a regular press photo agency. So at the end some partners, agencies etc. want us to have contracts with our photographers. It’s about the rights and privacy regarding your photos. it has to be clear that you are in charge of not violating any privacy rights. Anyway … you will see … with our contract both sides can cansel it anytime. So there is not much to worry about.
The contract
Once you signed it, you can send it to info@presse-foto-agentur.de and i will send back a signed version from us for your documents.
You can fill out the fields online and save it. A digital signature is sufficient.

Upload your Portfolio Photos.
If you want to showcase your Portfolio on our Website, just upload some of your best shots of each category in your Photographer Folder and tell me that you did it.

Don’t break your head if you don’t have real good shots for your portfolio yet … we will create some and there is no need to hurry with that point.
Software and what it is good for
Basically we need two different types of software. One is for editing (you should have one already) and one is a helper for labeling, a text expander. The text expander is a help when you have to tag the players in your photo. About the use of it you will find a Howto later.
espanso text expander
We use the Espanso text expander so that you only have to enter the number and the team abbreviation when labeling, the rest is then replaced.
For example, if I write #07vik, it will be replaced live by Exavier Edwards (Vienna Vikings, #07)
About the usage and the players lists you can read in a later Howto.
We use Espanso because it’s free and (theoretically) works with Windows and MacOS.
Installation

Once it has downloaded the file, open the file from your download folder and follow the instructions.
Editing Software
In most cases photographers use Adobe Lightroom Classic. If you are using Lightroom (non classic) we would highly recommend to change to the classic version. It’s just made for professional use unlike Lightroom where you can’t label and tag images.
Others
If you use another software for editing, we need to find other ways or maybe have them already, but we will discuss it and find a way. Some of our photographers use software where it’s not possible to label images with. You can use Adobe bridge for that use case for free.
